Man arrested with Viagra in park
OKALOOSA ISLAND - One of three men arrested in February for public sex has been arrested again - for returning to the same spot with Viagra in his pocket, sheriff’s deputies say.
The 55-year-old man is charged with trespassing after a warning and possession of certain drugs without a prescription, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy recognized him two weeks ago during a security check at Gulf Islands National Seashore, the report states. He radioed to check on the man’s trespass warning.
The man had been banned from the park Feb. 6, after another deputy had spotted him and two others performing sex acts on each other in an open minivan.
Knowing this, the deputy searched the man’s pockets and found a leather change purse with one Viagra pill in it. He said he called the poison control center, verified the pill as Viagra and arrested the man “based on the pill not being contained inside of a prescription pill container.”
In February, deputies called the park a “known location to engage in homosexual activities” and charged the man with committing an unnatural and lascivious act, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. Those charges later were dismissed in court, according to court records.
